Test the kit before
installation: connect the wires of the control box as below without using
the provided switch:
- White wire to battery positive (+)
- Black wire to battery negative (-)
Connect the strip directly to the control box. Press the
buttons to test if each strip is functioning normally.

Disconnect
the boat’s battery and remove any body work that will have the LED light tubes
located behind them. LOOSELY mount the LED light tubes using double sided tape
or plastic zip ties in the desired locatio/v/vspfiles/assets/images/074003instruction.pdfns (Clean the mounting surface before
attaching lights. DO NOT use 3M Promoter in this step.) NOTE: DO NOT use 3M tape to mount lights in this step. If 3M tape is
applied early and detached for relocation later, the 3M tape will lose its
adhesive force and the strip might be broken. XKGLOW is not responsible for any
damage caused if not following the instructions.

Find a cool
and dry place to mount the control unit. Make sure that the unit is away from
any hot parts of the vehicle like the engine or exhaust, and not exposed to
water or rain.

Connect the WHITE
wire from control module to the WHITE wire from switch; Connect the BLACK wire
from control module with BLACK wire from switch, then fix them in the crimping
wire terminal.

Connect the
RED wire from the switch to the fuse holder wire; Fix the other end of the fuse
holder wire in another crimping wire terminal. (Make sure the fuse inside the fuse holder is removed until the
installation is complete.)
5.
Use
provided zip ties and wire hooks to neatly mount and hide any loose wires. Make
sure they are not near any hot parts or locations that are easily to get wet.
Locate the ON/OFF switch in a convenient location. Connect the strips to the
output wire from control module. (See the diagram below and the reverse page
for notes and detailed instructions)
6.
Connect
the crimping wire terminals to the positive and negative poles of the battery
(see above diagram). Install the fuse into the fuse holder. Turn on the kit and
adjust the light strips for best lighting effect. Apply 3M Promoter on the
mounting surface, and then firmly attach the strips with 3M double side tape.
Use zip ties to secure the strips if necessary.
(WARNING: 3M Promoter is irritating to eyes and skin. Follow manufacturer’s safety instructions.
) Tightly wrap the provided waterproof tape around ALL connectors. This is very
important to avoid internal connections against water/moisture corrosion.
